Today I have a wedding at Powys Country House for you. Jenna and Neil are from South Wales and wanted to come to Llangollen for their wedding, for no other reason than they came through the area, loved it and decided this was where they wanted to get married! And who can blame them, especially given the fantastic venue they found. Powys Country House is an 8 bed country house, with self catering cottages and 3 acres of gardens. They only do a limited number of weddings each year and pitched a marquee on the grass tennis court for the reception.

Jenna and Neil chose to get married in St Collens Church in Llangollen with its incredible carved oak ceiling dating from 1450. We grabbed formals in the church due to the incessant rain, then it was a short ride back to Powys Country House. We had a little time between showers for some portraits in the garden, then it was a case of taking cover in the marquee until food was served!

Jenna’s dad made the cake and also made us very welcome when we got there, so hopefully we have paid them back with some super photo’s! We certainly love them, so here you go – let us know what you think! 🙂
