We are so glad you’ve chosen to book with Marie Lloyd Photography. Because we pride ourselves in the best client care available, we also have policies in place to ensure a seamless process, from booking until we present you with your stunning images and albums.

Please take note of the following policies in place to serve you better:

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT: A non-refundable £300 deposit and the contract must both be present to officially secure a date.

TRAVEL AND DESTINATION WEDDING FEES: Fees are added to engagement shoots that are over a 40 mile radius and weddings over 80 miles.

ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS: If your wedding includes over 250 guests, we may advise or require that you hire a third photographer to ensure best coverage of the event possible. Third photographers are billed at the rate of £200.

ONLINE PHOTO GALLERIES: You will have a sneak peek gallery usually on Facebook followed by a password protected gallery online usually around 3 – 4 weeks after your wedding.

IMAGES SUPPLIED: Due to the rapid pace and unpredictable nature of wedding photography, Marie Lloyd Photography does not guarantee the delivery of any requested or expected photograph.

FOOD: Marie Lloyd Photography requires one hot meal provided for any wedding coverage that includes evening coverage. Evening coverage is photographed by one photographer.

Terms and Conditions

In the following conditions of contract “the photographer” shall mean Marie Lloyd and any photographer(s) appointed by Marie Lloyd Photography. “The Clients” shall be those whose name(s) appear on the contract. If the client(s) arrange for a third party to meet the costs of this contract the contract remains with the client(s). The due performance of the contract is subject to the conditions below and cannot be varied in any way by the client(s) unless expressly agreed by the photographer in writing.

1. Copyright: The 1988 Copyright Act assigns the copyright of the images to the photographer. It is contrary to the Act, and therefore illegal, to copy these images, or allow them to be copied, by any means photographic, by computer, internet or otherwise, by any person or machine other than by the photographer or his appointed agents without prior authorisation.
b) If the clients have purchased the High resolution images this entitles you to print the images on it for personal use. (i.e. printing for home use, giving gifts to friends such as prints). You do not have permission to use the images for commercial use (i.e. selling the photos or using for advertising). Marie Lloyd Photography still retains the copyright for all images.
2. Display: The Client(s) on signing these terms and conditions consents and authorises the photographer to display any images covered by this contract and to generally promote the business by means of advertising, publicity material, websites such as Facebook, exhibitions, competitions, magazine articles, and other such media, providing that the images are used lawfully and without damage to the clients.
3. License and Coverage:
a) The photographers shall be granted artistic license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used. Although every effort will be made to comply with the Clients´ requirements, the photographer´s judgement regarding the location, poses and number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct.
b) For bookings involving a church ceremony or at certain other venues, photographers´ movements are sometimes restricted by the minister or official in charge: photographing of parts or even all of the ceremony may be restricted or prohibited, as may the use of artificial lighting. The photographer cannot accept responsibility for limited coverage in such cases.
c) Whilst the photographer shall endeavour to fulfil all the Clients´ requirements, (s)he cannot be held responsible for non-availability of subjects or adverse conditions which may delay the progress of proceedings, preventing the coverage of certain specified shots.
d) Any alterations made to the booking by the Clients once details have been confirmed may only be made at the discretion of the photographer. If unable to accommodate alternative arrangements (such as the change of ceremony date or venue) the photographer is not liable to compensate the client(s) in any way whatsoever.
e) The photographer is the only authorised and official photographer for your wedding day.
f) The photographer cannot be responsible for unusable shots due to distractions from client’s guests (i.e. eyes pointing in multiple directions or eyes closed) and any other circumstances beyond the photographer’s control.
g) Pre ceremony shots with the bride also known as bridal preparation commences around two hours before the ceremony and will be photographed by one photographer unless otherwise agreed in advance.
h) Pre ceremony shots of the groom begin one hour before the ceremony and is covered by one photographer unless otherwise agreed in advance.
i) The wedding ceremony and coverage up to the wedding breakfast or 5:30pm whichever arrives first is covered by two photographers unless otherwise agreed in advance or exceptional circumstances arise.
j) Full day coverage includes evening coverage. Evening coverage commences from speeches until first dance and is covered by one photographer. Evening coverage ends at 9pm even if the first dance has not been performed. If the first dance has not occurred by 8:45pm the photographer will take reasonable steps to remind the clients that coverage will end at 9pm.
k) If your package does not include evening coverage or evening coverage is not purchased as an extra, your coverage will end when you are to be seated for your wedding breakfast or 5.30pm whichever arrives first.
4. Image Reproduction:
a) Owing to photo chromatic anomalies caused by a combination of certain dyes and materials, especially in man-made fibres, it is sometimes impossible to record on camera the exact colour of materials as perceived by the human eye. When processing images, the photographer will endeavour to achieve a pleasing overall colour balance based on natural flesh tones.
b) It is understood that some colours may not remain consistent throughout a set of photographs owing to variations in lighting conditions. It is also understood that all photographic printing is undertaken within the technical limitations of the process and that colour may not be identical over the whole range within a subject. The colour balance of prints made at different times or in varying sizes may also be variable.
c) Due to the limitations of computer monitors it is understood that images may appear differently according to the specification of each monitor and that prints will not match images rendered on any particular computer monitor.
d) All print and presentation sizes quoted are approximate and subject to the discretion of the photographers.
e) Images take between 3-4 weeks from the date of the wedding to be ready for viewing.
f) Images supplied in a Low Resolution format will be marked as such and the photographers allow you to use this CD for digital use only (i.e. Facebook, screensavers, e-mail).
5. Albums & supplied prints:
a) Marie Lloyd Photography takes the utmost care while producing albums and supplied prints. Our products are subject to rigorous quality inspections and are dispatched in perfect condition. On receiving our product(s) the client(s) will have 7 working days to report any fault or problem due to shipping or handling. Marie Lloyd Photography will rectify any fault free of charge during this time period. Faults reported outside 7 working days will be subject to costs.
b) Wedding Albums take between 9-16 weeks from design stage to delivery.
c) Packages that include an album should be ordered within twelve months of the client(s) wedding date. After twelve months any increase in album costs by the album manufacturer or the photographer made after the twelve months have lapsed will be passed on to the client(s).
d) Artistic Style. On its own behalf, and on behalf of the subject, Client acknowledges that it is familiar with the Photographer’s portfolio and is requesting Services with knowledge of the Photographer’s style; that Photographer’s work is constantly evolving; that Photographer’s services are of unique and artistic nature; that the photos may be different from photographs taken by the Photographer in the past; and that in creating the photos, the Photographer shall use his/her personal artistic judgement to create images consistent with his personal vision of the Event, which vision may be different from the Client’s and the Subject’s vision of the Event. Accordingly, Client acknowledges that the photographs shall not be subject to rejection on the basis of taste or aesthetic criteria.
6. Storage of Images:
a) Original digital images are kept on an active file for twelve months, after which time they may be deleted unless expressly stated otherwise by the Photographer. All digital negatives (computer files) remain the property of the photographer. If purchased, the photographer may supply a copy of the edited images to the client(s) for their own non-commercial use.
7. Photograph delivery: The selection of delivered photographs by THE PHOTOGRAPHER is final.
8. Payment and Prices:
a) A non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to secure the photographer´s services for the day, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to the event.
b) Print prices are subject to change without notice.
c) Return journeys in excess of 50 miles attract a mileage charge of 40p per mile. Overnight accommodation may be required for weddings over 80 miles from the photographer’s home address.
d) Return journeys in excess of 40 miles attract a mileage charge of 50p per mile for pre-wedding shoots.
9. Force Majeure: Whilst every care is taken, this contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by the photographer owing to any cause(s) beyond his / her reasonable control, i.e. Act of God, Victim of crime, Fire, War, Road closure etc.
10. Cancellation:
a) In the event of cancellation by the photographer, or in the highly unlikely event of total photographic failure, the photographer´s liability shall be limited to a full refund of any deposits and fees paid. Re-shoots may be arranged if practicable but the photographer will not be responsible for any further costs.
b) The photographer will endeavour to organise another photographer in the unlikely event that (s)he is unable to attend your booking.
c) In the unlikely event that only one of your booked photographer’s is unable to attend reasonable steps will be taken to find a suitable replacement however one photographer will be deemed able to cover the event.
d) If the client(s) should have to cancel a booking, the following cancellation fees will become due immediately:
I. The booking deposit of £300 is non-refundable II. Cancellations made within four months of the wedding incur the full cost of the photographic service booked. There will be no charge for optional extras. III. Where the photographer is able to rebook the date with an equivalent booking, the cancellation fee will be reduced to the non-refundable deposit only and any additional cancellation fees already paid will be refunded accordingly. IV. In the event of postponement, then at the discretion of Marie Lloyd Photography, and subject to availability, monies other than the booking fee may be applied to the new wedding. V. It is essential to inform the photographer as soon as possible of any changes of venue, times, or contact details etc. VI. Client(s) are hereby advised to take out an insurance policy to cover any expenses in the event of cancellation. VI Guest Conduct. The Photographer will not tolerate verbally or physically abusive behaviour of the Client or guests of the Event. If the Client is unable to control the conduct of their guests, resulting in an unacceptable degree of misconduct, or if the conduct of any of their guests damages the equipment of the Photographer, it will result in the early or immediate departure of the Photographer. The Client understands that in such an event, no refunds will be granted.
