Earlier this year, I assisted at the wedding of Tammy and Dafydd with a friend of mine at Plas Isaf in Corwen. Plas Isaf is an idyllic, family run, organic farm on the outskirts of Corwen. The beautiful Grade II listed manor house, set in landscaped gardens and carefully restored barn provide a unique and beautiful setting for weddings and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to shoot there. Take a look at their website to see how fabulous a location it is – Plas Isaf Farm.
As seems normal these days, the forecasters got the weather wrong, the predicted rain never materialised and we hardly had any rain and when the sun shone it was beautiful.
The bride wanted lots of shots in a reportage style. For those of you not in the know, reportage means lots of photographs in a candid, informal style and is the most common request for wedding shots these days. The wedding is captured, giving a true account in a slightly journalistic style, with minimal posed pictures. A sort of fly on the wall approach, you kind of have to blend into the background and take photos when no one knows you are looking!!
Here are a few of the shots below…
