It was the Welsh wedding of Ffion and Eilir and the rain and winds decided to arrive on the very small village of Cerrigydrudion! It was Very unusually for a small village to have two weddings in Cerrigydrudion on the same day on the 20th of August this year 2016. Luckily the weddings were not in the same chapel but both have the SAME minister and registrar so Ffion was really concerned about making it to the chapel on time.
After the service at we travelled to Carden Park where the weather looked more favourable. Welcome drinks for guest upon arrival were served inside the hotel as the weather was still not dry enough but I love the inside with my favourite part being the antler chandelier.
I just want to mention a theme which ran through the day and has inspired me to do the three peaks in memory of my mum for the 20th anniversary of her death next year. Eilir lost his brother 10 years ago this October. Eilir and 12 of his friends have just finished a 503 miles bike ride around the coast of Wales (2nd of July to the 11th of July), to remember Myfyr and to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance. The total they have raised so far is staggering at over £20,000. I just want to say well done and Da Iawn to them.
