Frequently asked questions

You have a question? Well hopefully I have answered it here, if not get in touch and I will be happy to help.

What is the difference between High Resolution (Hi Res) and Low Resolution (Lo Res)?
When your photographs are supplied in Low Resolution they are in a small size suitable for e-mailing, viewing on the web, and via other digital means. When your photographs are supplied in High Resolution they are suitable for printing or creating your own photobooks.

What copyright permission do my photographs come with?
Copyright permission for digital use (viewing on computer, Facebook, emailing to friends, etc) is given for the Low Resolution files and copyright for printing sharing with friends etc is given to the High resolution files. Copyright law states that the photographer owns the photographs. We respectfully ask you to not use our images for any commercial use without our express written permission.

How long do you keep my photographs for?
As a general rule your photographs are kept for one year online and then indefinitely on our hard drives and backup storage. However there may come a time when the storage is needed and if this time comes we will do our best to notify you before deletion.

What do you do if it is raining on the day?
We never worry about rain. There is usually a gap in the rain where we can run outside for some shots, if not we will utilise the venue and for the brave and fun couple we can take some shots outside with some wellies and an umbrella!! Embrace it, it is part of your day!
