It seems like such a long time ago now that we photographed the wedding of Laura and Richard at the Plas Hafod in Mold. They booked their date early last year, well before the Royal Wedding was announced, and managed to choose the date which was to become Kate and Williams special day too.
Laura is very creative and had lots of ideas for her wedding and we were looking forward to seeing what she came up with for her day. I have to admit I was a little scared though – we suggested the derelict building in amongst a motocross track, perhaps a little tentatively, but Laura was like ‘yes, cool, that would be amazing’! I thought she may have second thoughts about dragging her dress through the mud and ask us if we were crazy when she saw it, but I’m so glad she was up for it because I love the shots!!
A 1912 open top bus, handcrafted favours, a homemade dress and a vintage sewing machine, the fabulous Hope Church and Plas Hafod in Mold all combined to make for a great story, which I hope we have managed to tell below! Move over Kate and Wills, North Wales is where it was at on the 29th April 2011 🙂
